Nonprofit Comm Internship, Unpaid

Qualifications:
Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in public relations, journalism or communications.

Job Duties and Requirements:

At least 20-25 hours a week to devote to the internship (Hours are flexible)
Functions well in a team environment
Ability to multi-task
Professional dress and demeanor
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet
Photoshop and InDesign experience
Video production/editing experience
Strong writing skills and knowledge of AP style
Help track media coverage
Help conduct internal interviews
Write press releases
Edit videos
Help design screen savers for internal staff computers
Design and layout promotional marketing materials
Assist with events as needed
Help with social media
Attend networking meetings
Help cultivate professional relationships with media, non-profits and community
Assist other staff as needed
