Rebuilding Together OKC makes free home repairs and modifications for low-income senior homeowners in the greater OKC area. We worked at 173 homes last year with the help of over 2,500 volunteers. We are seeking an unpaid intern to help promote our services and our fundraising events. To learn more about our organization, visit www.rebuildingtogetherokc.org
Responsibilities may include:
- Prepare press releases and coverage regarding organization’s activities and events
- Assist with media tracking and planning
- Coordinate and implement marketing projects to increase organization awareness.
- Assist with social media plans and strategies
- Assist in writing and editing quarterly Newsletter; possibly develop an eNewsletter
- Manage and assist with website
- Design and create agency collateral materials including brochures, ads, flyers, etc.
- Take photos and create a photo library
- Help with donor and volunteer recognition
Requirements:
- Major in public relations, journalism, marketing or communications
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Organized and detailed orientated with a proven ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of desktop publishing software
- Basic knowledge of website maintenance
- Friendly, outgoing, helpful personality
Hours: Based upon individual schedule
Unpaid position; College Credit potential
