15 Paid Spring and Summer Internships With OPUBCO in OKC

The News and Information Center will hire at least 11 interns for the summer 2010.

The interns will be hired for departments and areas such as Local, Watchdog, Breaking News, Online, Features, Business, Sports, Presentation, Video (production and on-air) and Photo.

The interns participate in a two-day orientation and training program, are given mentors and are involved in the paper's training and coaching program. They will do work that will have a direct effect on The Oklahoman, NewsOK.com or other OPUBCO Communication Group’s initiatives.

Students who qualify should send a cover letter, resume and five to seven examples of their work to Joe Hight, Director of Information and Development, The Oklahoman/NewsOK.com, P.O. Box 25125, Oklahoma City 73125.

The deadline for submitting a cover letter and resume will be Dec. 4. Interviews and selections will be made by mid- to late January or earlier.

For those of you in Oklahoma or the region: The News and Information Center will also hire four part-time spring semester interns at $10 an hour for 20 hours a week for the Local Desk, Niche Publications, Video Department and “know it” online communities from January to April. If you know of anyone interested, please have them follow the above procedure.
