Nonprofit Marketing/PR Internship in OKC - unpaid

Creative Oklahoma is offering qualified students or recent graduates the exciting opportunity for a Summer 2010 internship. Creative Oklahoma is hosting the International Creativity World Forum in November. The summer will be spent preparing for this amazing event.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Write press releases
Assist in marketing efforts for international forum
Assist in giving presentations about the forum to groups
Extensive research and organizational projects
Make follow up calls for international forum
Assist with social media plans and strategies
General administrative duties
Create and modify documents, correspondence, and reports using Microsoft Office
Develop and analyze on-line surveys
Research and draft abstracts and reports
Compile direct mail lists
Assist in event planning for forum
Assist in preparation of board and other meetings and conferences, including assistance in preparation of agendas and other printed materials/packets
Maintain organizational documents, board contact information and meeting records
Attend committee meetings and develop minutes
Requirements:

Organized and detailed orientated with a proven ability to multi-task
Able to adhere to strict deadlines and take detailed direction
Must be self-motivated with initiative and able to work in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft products
Strong writing and editing skills
Ability to conduct research through various methods
Communications, Public Relations and Business undergraduates or recent graduates will be given preference.

Time Commitment:
15 -20 hrs per week. This internship is non-paid, but can be used for college credit.
