Political PR Internship in OKC

OFRG’s internships are designed to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to advance the principles of liberty through the promotion of limited government and individual freedom. Interns will also learn the inner workings of a non-profit organization and gain experience that will prepare them for entering the workforce after college.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Have an interest in government and a major (or minor) in political science, public policy, economics, computer science and/or organizational development
Enrolled in a college or university program for the specific purpose of gaining school credits toward a degree
Dress appropriate for professional work environment
Possess a positive and professional attitude
Job Description:
Our internship program offers a wide variety of departments in which interns can work. Some are assigned to help formulate and promote ideas regarding public policy, while others assist with research and data collection. There is also an opportunity to receive hands-on experience writing press releases, preparing electronic newsletters, developing social media techniques and dealing directly with print and broadcast journalists.

OFRG has three internship periods per year. Time periods and application deadlines are:
Summer: June 1st - August 1st, Registration deadline - March 15th, Notification - April 1st
Fall: September 15th - December 15th, Registration deadline - July 15th, Notification - August 1st
