National Communications Internship in OKC - Paid

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc. is now hiring for the following internship opportunity:

Title: National Communications Intern
Reports To: Manager of Communications

This position will assist the communications department in all internal and external communication projects and events.

Compensation and Details

• $10.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly
• Business casual dress code (except for special events)
• Spring 2009 and Summer 2009 Internships available
• 24 to 40 hours per week (based on availability)

Responsibilities:

• Gather information for Love’s employee newsletter
• Assist with a variety of writing projects (articles, scripts, press releases)
• Assist with various community relations and corporate giving related tasks
• Coordinate new store opening events
• Organize award presentations for employee recognition programs

Requirements:
Education Requirements:

• Junior or Senior Level Student
• Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing major

Required Skills:

• Strong writer; knowledge of Associated Press (APA) writing style
• MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Internet website editing/development
• InDesign and Adobe experience a plus
