Member Relations/Magazine Internship for fall in OKC - Paid

Oklahoma Living magazine, a publication of the Oklahoma’s Association of Electric Cooperatives, is seeking a fall intern for the months of August through December or longer. With a circulation of over 310,000, Oklahoma Living is the largest monthly publication in the state. Our content is mostly feature-based and focuses on promoting rural Oklahoma and keeping our electric cooperative members up to date on co-op business, electrical safety, and energy conservation.

The chosen individual will have the opportunity to work closely with our small staff on a wide range of projects including photography, print and broadcast journalism, magazine layout and design, and advertising. An ideal candidate will:

  • Be experienced in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Have an interest in graphic design.
  • Have experience writing and editing in a journalistic style.
  • Have a portfolio of graphic design projects and/or written work
  • Be capable of typing 60 words per minute

This is a paid internship consisting of 10 – 20 hours a week between. Interested applicants should submit a resume and/or a letter explaining their skills and qualifications, a letter of recommendation (preferably from a professor or employer) and a sample of their writing and/or design work.
